Among the proposals is legislation introduced by Senator Mark McKenney to establish a commission that will study the impact of medical malpractice claims on healthcare costs, provider recruitment, and the long-term stability of Rhode Island's healthcare system.

Senator Mark McKenney and Representative David Morales joined students, educators, and community advocates to support the Support and Access to Bilingual Education (SABE) Act, legislation designed to expand multilingual education opportunities in Rhode Island schools. The proposal would create a state fund to support dual-language programs and help more educators obtain bilingual teaching certifications, addressing the growing needs of Rhode Island’s multilingual student population.

Legislation to prohibit the sale and distribution of invasive plants in Rhode Island cleared the House, advancing efforts to protect the state's biodiversity and natural ecosystems. Senator Mark McKenney has introduced companion legislation in the Senate, where lawmakers are considering similar measures to prevent the spread of non-native invasive species and reduce the long-term environmental and economic costs associated with their removal.

The organization highlighted his efforts to reform the Coastal Resources Management Council and his role as co-chair of the Bottle Bill Study Commission, recognizing his commitment to strengthening environmental stewardship and sustainability across the state.
